Do i need a separate license for each subdomain? For example, my website, rediresults.com has a license for X. but i want to set up 2 or 3 subdomains for products.rediresults.com and training.rediresults.com. I certainly can’t afford to buy a new license for each of these.

The licenses are for each install. So if you use the same installation of the theme in sub domain you do not have a problem and you just need to use the main domain license.
But if you have separate Wordpress installation for sub domains and you want to install 3 separate cases of the X theme, then you need to purchase a separate license for each case.
