License validation issue X <- >Pro

Hi,

I recently got a Theme X licensed and upgraded it to Pro. I then created a staging copy of my website and validated the Pro license there. When I deployed the site on the main site, it asked me to validate the license, which I using the new validation key. I also changed the url from staging to main / live site. The new license code didn’t work, so I had to use the previous license code. That one worked. I even revoked the license from the staging site.

The license is currently working, but I wonder if you could look into this and see if there is an issue with my license.

Thanks for writing in.

I checked the domain registered to your license and it’s using another theme. Would you mind putting the exact URL of the site where you installed Pro and try validating again?

If that doesn’t help, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

• WordPress Login URL
• Admin username and password

Hi, Sorry for the confusion. I didn’t install pro, I am using Theme X. Maybe that explains why I had to use the earlier license code?

Hello Daniel,

If you activate the X theme, you will have to use the X theme license even if you have upgraded to Pro. The upgraded Pro license will only work if you validate the Pro theme.
