After extensive efforts, I have now recovered the website from the last attempt at applying the license. Is there a better option to getting the new license to validate and apply updates.

These are current versions on the website, Cornerstone 1.2.4 and X Theme 4.0.5

If you still have this connectivity issue reported in the other thread then I’m afraid to tell there is no option to update the theme except the method mentioned by my colleague here (which I believe it worked for you):
