License Not Validating in X

Hi Guys,

I hope you’re having a great week! I’m trying to validate a site that is running X, and no matter what I do it won’t validate for me. I saw in another post that I should delete the site information in my licenses, which I have done with no success. I have tried reinstalling the theme with no success. I’ve tried in different browsers with no success. I’ve tried clearing caches with no success. I tried waiting a couple days to see if that would fix it, with no success.

The message I’m receiving is “Uh oh, we couldn’t check if this license was valid. Details.” Then, when I click on Details, I get a blank popup with nothing in it.

Is there something I’m doing wrong? The site is nwsummit.org. Let me know if you need more information.

Thanks for writing in!

I’ve updated the license to be validated for the domain with no www and no trailing slash, sometimes these can effect the validation. If you could try inputting the license key and seeing if it works, any issues let us know.

Hi Jack,

Thanks so much for your reply! Unfortunately, that didn’t solve the problem. The site is still giving me the same message: “Uh oh, we couldn’t check if this license was valid. Details.” Then there are no details. Is there something in the database perhaps that could be causing this?

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? Please provide following information:

Set it as Secure Note

  • Link to your site
  • WordPress Admin username / password
  • Purchase code (license key)

First of all, please never ever share your sensitive information like login credentials on other member’s threads as the original thread owner can see it. Always open up a new thread and submit your sensitive data securely.

Your issue is that you’re using an older version of Cornerstone, so that our validation process will not initiate. First you can disable/delete Cornerstone plugin from your plugins section. Then head over to X -> Overview section and wait for few seconds to automatically install the latest version of Cornerstone. Then you should be able to validate your site.
