License Issue With Existing X Single License

Our client’s 3 -4 year old X theme suddenly says it needs validation and the license shows in our account, yet the code will not validate. Any attempt results in this:

This looks like a brand new purchase code that hasn’t been added to a Themeco account yet. Login to your existing account or register a new one to continue.

I had tried to validate with the theme not active. Once I activated it, the theme is validated.

Thanks for writing in! You will need to activate the X theme to be able to validate it. If the X theme is not active, the Cornerstone plugin becomes a stand-alone plugin and will ask you to validate it. Be advised that the X theme license code can only be used to validate the X theme. You cannot use the X theme license code to validate the Cornerstone plugin. You will be needing a separate plugin license code for that.
