I have a XPro license/theme. I have migrated the site/XPro over to another hosting. The XPro theme on the previous/old hosting/WP account shows as “The Pro license is not validated ”.
Question is what happens to the theme which is not validated?
Thanks
Hello @giusep71,
Thank you for the details.
When you migrate your Pro theme powered site from one domain to another, only the source domain will be validated. It does not mean that since the source domain has been validated, it will also be validated when you migrate the site. It does not work like that.
Keep in mind that we impose one license code per site installation. You will need to validate Pro theme in each of your installations even if you have migrated it from a validated site.
If you do not validate, nothing will happen. The site, along with the Pro theme, will work just fine as it is expected to be. The only thing that you cannot do when the theme is not validated is the updates. You won’t be able to do automatic updates and you will not be able to install the bundled plugins and also the plugin updates.
Hope this helps.
Hi there.
Since I’m confused on what and where is validated, here is an image of how looks like the dashboard once the site was migrated over to the new hosting.
As far as you can tell is any validation needed?

Hello @giusep71,
Your license code has been assign to the site I added in the secure note. If you have migrated the site to another domain and you got the screenshot you showed above, you will still have to revoke and revalidate because you also have migrated the settings and WP option cache. When there is an update, you won’t be able to connect since the domain is not connected to the license. You will still have to revoke and revalidate sooner or later.
Hope this make sense.
That is the correct url.
Therefore it’s all fine. Correct?
Hey @giusep71,
If the site that you just migrated to is the site I have posted then everything is fine.
You are ready to go and updates will be available since it is already validated.
Best Regards.
Thanks to confirm that.
You are most welcome.
