We have 2 Pro licenses. Each one is active on both a prod/staging instance for each site. I’m suddenly getting a notice on one of our prod sites in the plugin that a license code is needed to validate. When I use the license that is assigned to that production site, it says that the one I use is already in use on another site. I am only using it as intended: one license per a staging/production environment. Please advise. Thanks. Details in the secure note.

Thanks for writing in! I already checked your site and I found out that you are using multi site set up. Please ignore the message and do not validate. It is no use since you cannot do the updates and installations in your subdomain. You can only do the updates in the main site which the url in the secure note.

Hi @RueNel - Thanks so much. Does that mean we only really need 1 license, if we are running this as a multisite? Or do we need the 2 separate licenses (1 for each subsite of the multisite)?
I am glad that at least we can ignore the validation prompt on the subsite without it affecting the subsite itself.

Yes, you only need to validate the main site because that is where you’ll update the Theme. But please keep in mind that this is only allowed if you’re the only end-user of all your subsite.
If this multi-site has multiple end-users, then a valid license should exist for each end-user. You can read more about that on our Terms of Use page (see allowed usage section)
