I checked my website on GTMetrix and the main issue is that I scored 0 on “Leverage Browser Caching.”
Is there any specific code I can add to my child theme to cache the header, footer, font, etc once a month or can I only do this through a plug-in?
I want to avoid using so many plug ins to prevent them from crashing my site in the future… but what would be the best option in this case?

Hello There,
Caching is done by caching plugin not by the theme itself so I guess you need to use a plugin for this. You may use W3 Total Cache for high traffic sites but if you only have low/mod traffic our theme is optimized enough to provide a fast and efficient experience. It can increase your page speed a bit but another possibility is that your hosting provider is having caching activated. Some web spaces have that feature activated by default you might want to get in touch with them about that.
