Whenever I drag a pdf into the media library of Wordpress, the quality worsens. See the video below where I explain it. How do I troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance!

I have checked the uploaded PDF and I can see what you mean about the quality. There does seem to be some image degradation. I’m not sure why this is happening, but WordPress does resize normal images when they are uploaded, so something similar might be happening with the PDF. One thing you can do to check if WordPress is altering the PDF when you’re uploading it is to compare the file size of the uploaded version against the version on your computer. If the uploaded version has a smaller file size, then WordPress is compressing it.
All that said, you may have noticed that I’m referring to what WordPress is doing. That’s because this isn’t actually a theme issue, as the theme itself is not applying any changes to the PDF. In other words, you could have any theme installed and the same behavior would occur.
As this isn’t a theme issue, troubleshooting it would be outside of theme support, so I’ve given you the above guidance to try and give you a starting point. If you need further help to troubleshoot this, then you may wish to consult a developer. We do also have a service called One that you might want to consider, as this covers all questions related to WordPress, rather than just the theme.
