We do not have any design or functionality at all for /category/ and /tag/ pages on our website.
Looking in the file manager for php files Theme X seems not to have any default pages for these kind of pages.
Currently these pages only show a heading text for us. We need them to be an actual archive and showing pages in that category or with that tag.
Have we missed any files or accidentally deleted them? Or does Theme X not support these kind of standard Wordpress pages?

Thank you for writing in, X and Pro are using the index template (_index.php) for all the archive pages unless you created your own template for archive pages.
Please confirm that you have actual posts that belong to a category or tags, also confirm that you don’t have any custom templates and/or custom function on your child theme that affects the archive pages.
Also, it is possible that is caused by a plugin conflict. Please do a testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
