Layout builder preview pane won't load - circle turns and turns

Hi guys -
I’ve been using the layout builder for my portfolio display. It worked perfectly for probably hundreds of saves as I tweaked the content. Then all of a sudden, the preview pane won’t load. The layout builder loads, I select the “Brand” Layout, and the various sections/rows/elements display in the left-side pane. But there is a turning gray circle in the right-side preview pane that never goes away, no matter how long I wait. There are no error messages. I also tried to clone the layout to see if that got me past it, but the clone has the same issue. Other layouts, pages, headers and footers all load and preview as expected, so it must be something with the data in this layout.

I was able to make a change to an element by selecting it from the left-side list, and it saved properly. I thought it might be a memory issue, but I’ve closed the browser (Chrome) and restarted the computer multiple times to no avail.

This was a pretty involved layout with multiple custom query strings. I would really hate to lose it. Could someone take a look? I will provide login credentials in a secure note.

I went ahead and check your homepage then the preview is just loading fine on my end. Are we seeing the same page? If not, please give us the specific page you are having an issue with.

In the meantime, I suggest that you delete all your sections one by one to find the culprit.

Hi Marc - thanks for the reply. As mentioned above, it is the “Brand” layout in the Layout Builder that is causing the issue. All other pages are working properly. Is deleting sections the only remedy? I was really hoping to avoid that, as I spent such a long time getting these working properly.

Hello @HoodSiegal,

Upon loading the “Brand” layout in the builder, you will have to assign the Post Type and URL of the post type preview so that it will load the content in the builder.
