Hello @deranaloge,
The layout builder can only display excerpts. The excerpts were dynamically generated from the first 55 words of the post content. Any HTML tags will strip off by WordPress thus, displaying only plain texts in the excerpts.
Hope this helps.
hi runuel,
there is an element in the layout builder for single posts. it is called : the content
why is this not available in the archive builder? because in this element the html tags are there.
for the excerpt element it would be great if there is a switch: preserve html tags. sometimes it is important that the html tags are there in the exerpt aswell. because of line breaks and colors.
is there a way around? can i use the element : the content, somehow in the archive builder?
thanks in advance
Hey @deranaloge,
It could be because showing Full Content on the archive page is seldom used. I’ll post your concern as a feature request though so that might be added in the future if there’s enough demand.
Regarding the Excerpt, it’s controlled by WordPress. You can display tags using 3rd party excerpt plugins or override the WordPress excerpt but this would be outside the scope of our support to cover.
Hope that helps.
thanks christian, i added a acf wysiswg editor and did it that way.
great that you add it to the feature request list.
thanks agin cheers
You are most welcome.
