Layout builder and ancestor links

I have created a single and archive layout using the layout builder for my normal webpages and all is well with that.

I then created a new single and archive page for a new post type I created using CPTUI for a teachers page.

The problem is in the main menu… it is highlighting news and teachers as ancestral links, when I want it to only highlight teachers. It needs to be separate form the normal blog news

And when i go to the single page for teachers it is highlighting News and not Teachers.

Would mind sharing your WordPress admin credentials? so that we can check why it is acting in that way. To do that, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

Hey @etahross,

The WP login credentials don’t work but the htaccess does.

The Teacher page is a category of your News (Blog) so the Teacher page is a child and the News page is the Ancestor.

You can disable the activation of Ancestor links in under the Navigation Inline options
