Hi Team,

I purchased the X theme from ThemeForest. With it, I received the Layer Slider plugin.
However, I am not able to activate it. I am not sure how to activate the same, since I can’t find the license key for that anywhere.

Can you help?

Thanks for writing to us.

Layer Slider is an extension plugin and it is bundled with “X”. You don’t need to purchase an additional licence for it if you have validated “X” licence.

It is free along with our theme and we would offer an update of the bundled plugins as well.

Hi Prakash,

I try to update it from the wordpress plugins section, but it says it requires a licence activation.
Also, in the layer slider panel, I see “activate now” button but it asks for a separate key.

Do I need to install from the zip folders which I received from X theme or from the X theme panel of plugins for it to be verified?

And how will I be able to update?

Hello Akshay,

The plugins area in your dashboard will always broadcast that there are new updates available. For premium bundled plugins in the X and Pro theme, the updates will be coming from Themeco repository. And most of the time, the latest supported version will be available. If there are newer plugin update releases, it will not be available yet because we still have to test for conflict and incompatibility issues. The latest available and supported versions are listed here:

As for LayerSlider, the supported version is up to 6.11.1. We are still testing the 6.11.2 version and it will be available anytime soon.

Thanks for the update info.

What about the “Activate now” message that stays in the layer slider?
It asks for activation or else I won’t be able to use the premium templates it has to offer.

I need help resolving this activation issue.

Hello Akshay,

For bundled plugins, you can use the full features of the plugin even without activating it. The only missing functionality for this is the ability to import the templates because that is only exclusive to those who have purchased a separate plugin license. This policy is beyond us as this is from the creators of the plugin.

Most of features are unable to access due non-activation version, so is there any way to activate it and access those options.

You can get the premium features by activating the license after buying it directly from the plugin author.
