LayerSlider text options don't seem to recognize Google fonts I added by font manager

Hi - LayerSlider text options don’t seem to recognize Google fonts I added by font manager. Any trick to making newly added Google fonts available in the drop down? Thanks!

Hello @imbrettjackson,

Thanks for writing in!

Please be advised that the LayerSlider has it’s own font selector and works independently from the theme’s font manager. Any new Google Font may not be registered yet in the LayerSlider which is why it is not displaying. For example, the LayerSlider 6.10 were released last November. Any new fonts added to Google from December to January will not display because it is not yet added in the font list bundled in the plugin’s release. It will only be added once there is a new plugin release updated which might be available soon.

Hope this helps.

I don’t think that’s the solve - I’ve only got about a dozen fonts viewable in my LayerSlider font selector and there’s been many many more Google Fonts available for as long as LayerSlider’s been around.

How do I add new/specify which GoogleFonts to access via LayerSlider?

Thanks!

Hello @imbrettjackson,

Please go to LayerSlider WP > Options > Google Fonts. You will need the Add the font that you need.

And then when you insert a text layer, go to Styles tab and select the Google Font family.

Hope this helps.
