Layer Slider not working in new Pro Version

Hi there,
what is the newest layerslider version which is included in pro version 5.15.?

My layer slider is not working anymore and an update is not possible. But I have other websites where the version 6.9.2. of layerslider works without any problems. Can you help me what the problem is, please?

Thanks for writing to us.

It seems that there are {} curly braces issue that are no longer supported in PHP 8.0.16 version. I would suggest you please update your Layer Slider WP plugin as per our version compatibility page.

Hello Prakash,

when I update Layer Slider, system says “ok, update has been done” and after a few seconds the old version is shown. Now I have Layer Slider 6.9.2. You recommend 6.11.9
But I have the newest pro version 5.15 and the layer slider comes with it. So what s wrong?
I deactivated layer slider now, because the website brakes down when it is activ.

Hello @praxisnah2016,

Sorry for the confusion. Can you please downgrade your PHP version to 7.4? The PHP 8.0 version and the installed current version of the LayerSlider plugin may have been in conflict.

By the way, the latest supported and available version in our Themeco plugin repository is 6.9.2. Our developers are still testing for conflict and incompatibility with the latest LayerSlider 7.1.2.

The strange thing is, that I changed the php Version 3 weeks ago and the mistake occurred just now. ?

Having this same problem on 5 sites. All also on PHP 7.4 already. Getting security alerts due to a vulnerability in the installed version of the plugin.

When will 7.1.2 be finished getting tested in Pro/X Theme?

FYI… I’m having the same issue, plugin update required to 7.1.4, says it succeeds but does not.
X Pro
PHP Version: PHP 7.4.28
Current Version 6.9.2
There is a new version of LayerSlider WP available. [version 7.1.4 ]

And currently I am unable to import any Layer slider templates (free ones) … with this error:
" Plugin update required. This slider template requires a newer version of LayerSlider in order to work properly. This is due to additional features introduced in a later version than you have."
