Is it possible to lauch an executable when the page serves automatically?
Id like to be able to go to www.webpage.com/help and it automatically launch an exe file that lives on the webserver.
Currently i have to direct users to a page and get them to manually click a button to download the software - be so much easier if i could just send them to a url and it auto runs.

t is impossible to run an EXE file from a webpage due to security limitations. In older versions of IE that was possible using ActiveX plugins.
You could do it using a remote access software such as Ammyy admin or TeamViewer, but you’ll need the client’s consent. If it is your EXE file you want to run, consider switching to HTML 5/Java/flash/Silverlight based application, which can be embedded in websites.
Anyway, all this is not theme related and out of the scope of our support.
