Latest theme update broke modal JS

Hello,

We were using the previous version of Pro before the most recent major update and using JS code that when clicked, it opened a hidden modal.

The code is working on our LIVE Site, but on the DEV site (using the latest version of PRO) it is not working properly.

For instance, when one of the bios blocks in the grid (PERSON A) is pressed, it activates the modal that is hidden (PERSON A).

I have unhid the modal section. The functionality that needs to be fixed is when the bio block is pressed it activates the modals that were previously hidden.

I will rrespond in a secure note with LIVE site that shows the functionality working and the DEV site which shows it is broken after the recent update.

We are unable to provide support for customizations under our Support Policy.

Please understand that your custom JS code was coded by someone and that code no longer works with the latest version of the theme and WordPress. We highly recommend that whoever created the custom JS, needs to recode it so that it will become flexible and work with the latest version of the theme and WordPress.

I’m getting similar to this - all using the Pro Modals.
In the header it works fine, opens OK and acts normal.
When I open one that is on the page, it opens 4 versions of it. When I inspect the code, there’s 4 copies of it, even though there’s only one in the builder!

And they stack on to each other so screw with the functionality in the modal. They close on click anywhere rather than allowing the user to engage with the form within.

Can you please create a new thread on your issue and share login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– Specific Page URL & Modal where you are having this issue
– WordPress Admin username/password

I found this was happening on multiple sites whenever the modal was an element on a page. Footers and Headers are OK so the workaround is to put the modal element in the footer or header and then launch it from a button on the page.

Apparently modal bugginess has been spotted by quite a few people and a fix has been applied for the next release, so I’ll see if it persists.
