Latest theme crashed my site

HELP!

So I updated my site from something that had been like version 6 or so, and it’s now showing a message of "Updated site, got a “There has been a critical error on this website.” page in its place when X theme active.

I can change themes out of X and it’s fine - so this is definitely an X issue.

My business is dependent on this website.

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked the website and found that it is using a very older version of the X and Cornerstone i.e. 3.0.4. I would suggest you update the X by following the below steps.

1. Delete the Cornerstone
2. Update the X theme to the latest version on automatic updates
3. After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be at the latest version

And check once by clearing all types of cache including the Style Cache from Cornerstone > Settings > System > Clear Style Cache and check in the incognito/private mode of the browser.

NOTE: Please remember that you are using a much older version which might create a problem while the theme has been updated a few of the shortcodes has been already deprecated. I would suggest you please copy your live site to a staging server and update the X into it and if everything goes fine to migrate it to live server.

I have checked the given credentials, but it is not working.
