Latest Pro update messed up gravity forms layout

Suddenly with the latest Pro update Gravity form styling is all messed up

It happens the moment the theme is updated!

This was before update:

And this was after update

As if the styling is not applied.

Hello @quinex,

Thanks for writing in!

Could you please update to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • Pro theme 3.2.3
  • WordPress core 5.3.2

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi,

I think you didn’t read the post well enough.

I expressed that it is that update that is the cause of the issue

Pro Theme 3.2.3 is the issue

Hey @quinex,

We’re sorry for the confusion.

We need to verify if there’s a bug in our theme and that the issue is not because of third-party factors such as caching and custom code.

Because this involves a paid third-party plugin and the bug verification process could interrupt the operation of a website, please copy your live site to a staging server then give us the following info in a Secure Note.

  • Staging WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

Hope that helps.

i shared the details in a secure note

Hey @quinex,

One of our developers has tested the same setup as yours but couldn’t replicate the issue. The issue only happens on your site. Specifically, the formsmain.min.css of Gravity Forms is no longer loaded. In order to force it to load in your site, the Output CSS option of Gravity Forms must be enabled. This isn’t the case in our test. The CSS was loaded using the latest version of Pro and Gravity Forms and regardless if the form is added in the Global Blocks like your setup or not.

If there will be more cases like this, we’ll investigate further. For now, please enable the Output CSS option of Gravity Forms.

Hope that helps.

Aha… I always thought that when we would use custom CSS for the form styling in Pro, it was best to disable the form Output CSS

Apparently I was wrong, is that correct?

I tried on one of our other sites and problem indeed seems to be solved

Love you guys!!

Great support.

Cheers

Hey @quinex,

In our test the option was not required to be enabled to load the CSS file as mentioned by Christian:

The issue seems to be specific to your setup. You can simply enable the option to make things work smoothly.

Cheers!

Hi guys,

FYI, I figured out what caused it as on some installs it didn’t present the issue.

When a form uses “honeypot” and a conditional logic that hides the submit button until a validation question is answered, the issue arises.

When it is a normal form there are no issues on update.

This for whomever may face the same issues.

Hi @quinex,

Glad to hear you got it sorted and thanks for sharing the solution.

Cheers!
