Latest Posts Not Showing After Wordpress 5.6 Update

Hi,

My wordpress site updated to the 5.6 version and since then the latest posts are not viewable. I can see the posts when I click in other areas of my blog but not on the “home/latest posts” screen.

Please see photos for what it used to show which versus now which is three bubble that continuously load.

I have accessed my site from other sources and still get the same result. My website’s cache is completely purged.

Any help would be great on how to fix this issue.

Hello @astersblog,

Thanks for writing in! It seems that the minified JS and CSS files were coming from the old cache version. Please clear your plugin caches and regenerate all those minified resources. If nothing is helping, provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WP login URL
– WP username
– WP password
– WP Administrator Role

To know how to create a secure note, please check this out: How The Forum Works

Best Regards.

Please see the secure note attached, I am still having issues.

Hello @astersblog,

Please temporarily deactivate your caching and minimizing plugin WP-Optimizer plugin. And also I found out that you are using CloudFlare. Right after your updates, please log in to your CloudFlare account and purge your site cache. You also need to regenerate the minified CSS and JS files in CloudFlare.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

How long should it be before the site returns to normal? I have done all you suggested and nothing has yet to change.

Hello @astersblog,

Please log in to your Cloudflare, set it to Development mode. Go to your WordPress dashboard, make sure to clear all your plugin caches. You also need to clear your browser’s cache or use private browsing mode (Incognito mode) before testing the site again.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Hi,

I followed your steps above and set cloudflare to development mode, cleared plugin caches / caches using WP optimize and then tested the site via incognito mode and my phone. Sadly, it was not successful and I can still only see bubbles. Further advise would be great.

Hey @astersblog,

Please disable Cloudflare’s Rocket Loader or have a professional website speed optimizer set it up properly for you.

Thanks.

Thank you that resolved the problem. Is it possible to enable it at a later date or is it safer to keep off?

Hey @astersblog,

You can enable it back after a day or two to make sure that it will load the codes and files from the latest updates. Once it did, Cloudflare can cache it again.

Cheers.
