Just updated X, and then updated WordPress and now Critical Error

On my site punitarice.com, last night I updated X, and everything was great. I created some new content and everything was great. I changed around some appearance and css details, and again, everything was great.

Then I updated WordPress – and the entire site stopped working. Now the entire site has crashed and I receive a Critical Error. I have been troubleshooting since last night and support from my host (siteground) are also scratching their heads and don’t know how to help either.

You guys are my last shot, can someone PLEASE help me uncrash my site?

Hello Punita,

Thanks for writing in! Can you please confirm that you have updated to the latest versions?
Our latest versions are:

  • X theme 7.2.3
  • Cornerstone 4.2.3
  • WordPress 5.3.2

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog (http://theme.co/changelog/).

Since you have installed a caching plugin W3 Total Cache, please clear your plugin cache after the updates before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.

If nothing is helping, provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password

Please let us know how it goes.
