Just updated, missing features

I just updated from 4.?? to the latest version and am experiencing the following problems:

  • The site times out every time I try to validate my license.

  • My portfolio page no longer displays a filter, regardless of whether I have the option to disable that feature checked.

  • My home page has developed a mysterious new sidebar menu and I cannot find the settings to disable it anywhere.

Hi @libbyljf,

Thank you for writing in, please update your Cornerstone plugin as well. You can easily do this by navigating to Plugins panel then deactivate and delete your current Cornerstone (version 1.3.3), then navigate to X panel it will then give you the notice to install and activate the Cornerstone (see screenshot below). This reinstalled Cornerstone version 3.5.5. is the compatible version of X 6.5.6

Then clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Thanks. Now all of my portfolio items are leading to an error page, even when I click “view” directly from the WP dash. How do I fix this?

Ah, I see - the default slug must have changed between versions. I updated it in Portfolio settings and all is working now. Thanks.
