Jump to section with anchor ID when scrolling

Hi there

Is there a possibility to jump to the top of a section when scrolling down and snap at this position, as I would do with a anchor in the “ID field” of Pro?

I have created a full screen image gallery in a section of a page and I would like to stop or snap the top of this section exact at the top of the screen when scrolling down.

Is something like this achievable in Pro?

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hi Felix,

It is not very clear what exactly you are trying to achieve here. Do you want to stop scrolling in a specific section or something else? Please elaborate on it a bit for further assistance.

Thanks

Hi, if I understand him correctly Felix wants the page to snap into position as you scroll to the next section. Like a magnet.

At least, that was what I was looking for

Hi Tristup

Thank you very much for your reply. Yes, maybe I didn’t explain clear enough, what I mean. I would like to stop or snap the section with the gallery on the top end of my browser, when scrolling down through the page to the gallery section, so I don’t have to position the full screen gallery exactly in browser height by the mousewheel.
Maybe there is a option to tell the section ID to snap at the top of the browser, when scrolling near this point, so the full screen gallery is vertical exactly at the right position. Sorry, I don’t have a example to show you, but maybe you know what I mean…?

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hello Felix,

Regretfully we do not have a Scroll Snapping feature in the theme. You may be able to achieve it using custom coding. Be advised that the custom coding is beyond the scope of our support. Perhaps these articles can get you started:

Thank you for your understanding.

Hi Ruenel

Thank you very much for your reply an for the links. I did try like this, but unfortunately the css property for scroll-snap seems to be not known, as it is greyed-out:

Thanks again for your help!
