Hi, checked out the other posts about jump links, none of them covered this.
I have a button on a page and in the Link field I have the # with the section name of where I want the button to jump to. Instead, the button just jumps the user down to the next section, which has no ID assigned to it whatsoever and definitely not the ID of the section I want to jump to. Please advise.
Thanks for reaching out.
It will be very difficult to understand what exactly happening at your end. Can you please share the URL where you are having such an issue?
If I am not wrong you might be facing the issue explained here by my colleague Charlie.
Hi, thanks for replying. FYI the main topic page on my account shows zero replies to this topic even though the time the post was created is still accurate (22 hours ago). I had to click my topic from my Topics page to see this reply.
Anyway, no, what I’m describing is nothing like your above example. The link originates from one part of a page and is supposed to jump to a section further below, this has nothing to do with a header and/or sticky nav.
The URL is here:
And the link is the red button that says SHOP HEAVY METAL, which is supposed to take you down to the carousel section but instead just takes you to the next section down.
I have checked your URL and found the reason behind your problem. You have set the same ID to the anchor tag, and that is why the link goes to that section. I would suggest you remove that ID to get rid of this issue.
