Jump Link bypassing header element

Good morning, I was wondering if you could help solve something for me. I have added a jump link to the second section of my landing page. So I have a global header and then within the home page a slider followed by an about section. I used “about” as my id and included the following within the menu "sitename/home/#about ".

The jump link works fine but when I load the home page, it jumps directly to that section. How do I fix it so it only navigates there when I click on the link in the header?

Hello @StuartTPhotog,
Thanks for writing to us.
I think if you visit your home page using the domain name only without any fragment identifier or " #" it should work properly. It seems that you are testing with this URL “domain-name/home/#about/” that is why it is taking you to that particular section directly.

To serve you better with your issue please share your online website URL.
Thanks

It would help if I wasn’t being an idiot… Thanks for your help!!
