JS as background without interfering with mousevents

Hi,

I’m currently designing a one-page website for which I would like to use jQuery to add a radial gradient that follows the mousepointer.

I’ve managed to achieve the effect I want by adding the Javascript and the CSS to the Page JS and Page CSS. I’ve added the class to the “Body CSS Class(es)”, because I want it to apply to the entire page.

Unfortunately the mouse-events of my JS interfere with the mousevents of the Theme. Parallax scrolling, links to anchors, etcetera.

Is this something you could help me with? I’ve tried everything. Changing the script, changing the z-index in the CSS to -1. Nothing seems to work. Maybe you can send me in the right direction.

Kind regards,
Roel

I understand. I was hoping you’d be able to push me in the right direction.
I’m afraid the One service won’t fit in the budget for the current project.

There could be a plugin that would do something similar.
