Issues with WPML and Other Language Versions of my Page

It has recently come to our attention that localized pages through WPML have stopped showing. For reasons currently unknown to us, whenever we visit the localized page, it only shows the header (no menus, just the site logo) and the rest of the content is not visible.

After digging around, we realized that when we set the localized page to any variation with the header, it seems to display fine.

Granted the X Theme, Cornerstone, and WPML are all not updated to the latest version. For reference here are their current versions while having the problem:

X Theme - 5.2.5
Cornerstone - 2.1.7
WPML Multilingual CMS - 3.9.3
WPML Translation Management - 2.5.2
WPML Media - 2.2.3

We tried updating WPML first and it did not fix it. Updating Cornerstone practically broke our site (we could no longer edit in Cornerstone). What we haven’t tried yet is to update XTheme first which we will be doing next week.

If there are any suggestions on how we can fix this issue, it would be welcome. As it is, our site can only be displayed properly in the original language version and not the localized one.

Hi @SecureAPlus,

Thanks for reaching out.

But you already updated the theme and it’s now incompatible with the cornerstone. Perhaps that the reason it’s not working?

You can try restoring your theme to the previous version so it matches with the cornerstone. OR, update your cornerstone to match the latest X theme and fix the broken areas due to cornerstone update.

This process contributes to your site’s downtime since it’s live. How about restoring your entire site to its previous state where it’s still working. Then clone it to a staging site where you can update everything and do the troubleshooting? Please check this https://wpshout.com/quick-guides/all-in-one-wp-migration/. You can use the recommended plugin for cloning your site, it’s the same in migration.

Thanks!
