Issues With Safari

Hey

I like the new updates, well done.

Slight issue, when I want to edit a page using cornerstone. When I use safari (v11, i think) the wheel keeps spinning. I use the same page in Google Chrome and it works fine.

Using High Sierra (Mac) and have try to see of a way to update the safari but no updates available. Can you advise?

Kind Regards

Eddie

Hello Eddie,

Thanks for writing in!

Safari 11 is the latest in Macs. You can open Mac App Store and check for any updates.

Meanwhile, I have checked both of your sites. Since you have installed a caching plugin W3 Total Cache, please clear your plugin cache before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.

Hope this helps.

I do clear my cache on the plugin when i test and update.

I even temporary disabled it and it still didn’t work on Safari.

Doesn’t explain how it works in one browser (Google Chrome) and not another.

Will research whether the plugin has issues with safari

Hey Eddie,

This issue could be between the theme and Safari browser. We recommend that you use Chrome or Firefox at the moment. Safari tends to act differently lately.

Thanks.
