Issues with raw content recent posts shortcode

Hi there,

I’m having a few issues with the recent posts shortcode on this site, it doesn’t seem to want to honour the orientation, post count, or any class / ID either. This is the code that i’ve used:

[recent_posts orientation=“vertical” count=“5” class=“rp-home”]

I believe it may be a bug as it was working fine before.

Thanks,

Hello Keanu,

Thanks for writing in!

I checked the same shortcode that you have used in my local dev setup on latest version of X Theme and Cornerstone and there it’s working fine without any issues. Further, I also inspected the page and looks like some styling is getting lossed over there, though the functionality is fine it’s the styling that’s having issues. I tried to login but I am getting ERROR: The username or password you entered is incorrect. Lost your password? error message. In that regards can you please update the login details in secure note for us to take a closer look?

Having said that while checking the page in dev tools I didn’t noticed any error messages that might point to the styling issue. I also see you are using latest version of X Theme and Cornerstone. I am listing few solutions below, please try them out and let us know the outcome:

  1. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
  2. I see you are using Child theme. Please activate parent X Theme from Appearance > Themes and see how recent post looks. If it’s fixed then some customization work in child theme is causing the issue that needs to be looked at.

Thanks.

Issue resolved! Turns out it was OptimizePress causing the issues.

Thank you for your help!!

Kind regards,

Glad to hear that.
