Issues with embedded video after update

Hi there,

Since upgrading everything to the latest versions I’m having issues with embed codes for video, specifically the following post

On entering the embed code in the second player, the two appear to sit on top of each other with the lower embed box remaining blank. On mobile all I see is the code. I’ve tried using the older classic video element, but that doesn’t seem to be working either, so all I can assume is that there’s some sort of error that I’ve been unable to identify. Thanks

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Could you please provide the video embed code so that we can test it in our local testing servers? The code may not be acceptable or something in the code breaks the video.

Hi there,

I can see that, but I’m not sure what’s causing that. I will need your admin login credentials so we could check it directly. For the meantime, please provide it in a secure note. Then for the meantime, please re-add your video elements using v2 or classic video.

Please give us htaccess credentials also or disable htaccess restriction.

Hey @catteo,

The issue is you’re not using standard video embed code.

The Video element supports iframe based embed code like Youtube and Vimeo embed codes.

Try putting your code in a Classic Raw Content element. I’m not promising it will work 100% even with Raw Content though as the code is non-standard. If it will not work, you will need to hire a developer to integrate the third party code to your site because the issue is with the code and not theme related.
