Issues with cornerstone, x and wordpress

Hi, I seem to be having issues with our current site. I was deleting rows on phpmyadmin for our uninstalled plugins to increase the site’s speed. I had deleted the rows associated with woocommerce is the postmeta table using ‘wc’ in the filter. I’m not sure what I did wrong there, as now I only a few pages working in cornerstone. Cornerstone was still active, but I was unable to upload templates to restore the pages that were blank. I then uninstalled the child theme and plugin with the hopes or reinstalling it, however I am unable to upload the plugin. I’m not sure what else to do here and would greatly appreciate any advice. Currently some of the website still stands due to the cache not being reset. Login info is below.

Thanks in advance

Regards,

This is the list of what was deleted. I have a staging site for the website that is a few months old that I am referencing. As the postmeta table has been updated from posts etc replacing the whole table is not ideal. I also don’t think I can directly upload rows to a table from another database.

Hello Jason,

Thanks for writing in!

Deleting the WP Tables is a risk. You should be using a 3rd party plugin to clean your database to avoid any issues. Regretfully this issue request is beyond the scope of our support. I may suggest that you contact your hosting provider and ask them to revert back your database changes over the 24 hours or from the time that you have deleted the WP Tables.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hi, I reverted the database to an old back up. Now I need to upload the plugin of x. However this is not working and it fails

Update. I was able to complete this however the one thing that isn’t working is the templates. I am unable to load a template into a page to save it.

Hello Jason,

You are having some issue in your site because in one of your Global Block added at the bottom of the homepage, you have added an incorrect JS code. You added this:

<script type="text/javascript">
    (function(i,s,o,g,r,a,m){i['SLScoutObject']=r;i[r]=i[r]||function(){
    (i[r].q=i[r].q||[]).push(arguments)},i[r].l=1*new Date();a=s.createElement(o),
    m=s.getElementsByTagName(o)[0];a.async=1;a.src=g;m.parentNode.insertBefore(a,m)
    })(window,document,'script','https://scout-cdn.salesloft.com/sl.js','slscout');
    slscout(["init", "eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJ0IjoxMDQyOTR9.YEzeU73ohnPLQBaORSzGdLQ9V5gpzcpiJdvM71ixnBY"]);
</script>

You will need to REMOVE this code because it is causing a JS error that prevents the theme functionalities to work. if you need the code, we highly recommend that you install a 3rd party plugin, Insert Headers and Footer. This is the correct way of adding any custom JS/HTML code to your site.

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Hi,

I removed the js code in the footer, however I am still unable to load templates into pages.

Hope you can help,
Regards

Hi Jason,

I tried to load a template to a page and it is just working fine, I don’t see any issues. If you are still experiencing the issue on your end, I suggest that you clear your browser cache or use incognito mode.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

I opened a new private browser and issues are still persisting. I think it may be with just certain templates if it’s working for you. If you try to load the page template ‘Home Page (09/01/21)’ it will not work. Not sure what to do

Regards,

Hi Jason,

I have checked your website but didn’t find the Home Page (09/01/21). I have created a new page and added a different Page Template into that and found it is working too.
I would suggest you please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that helps us to recognize the problem.

Thanks

Hi,
Hopefully this sorts out the confusion. Here is a video of it on my side

Hi Jason,

It seems that issue has something to do with the X and Cornerstone plugin version. Here’s what I have done.

  • Download the template Home Page (09/01/21) in my local machine and upload it to my development environment
  • After uploading the template files, it is working fine on my development environment
  • Download again the files and upload them to your website but there’s an error when uploading it
  • So I tried to update the X theme and Cornerstone plugin. Then after upgrading the X theme and Cornerstone plugin, it allows me to upload the template and it is called “test
  • You can now load the template properly.

Hope that helps.

Thank you, I appreciate your help! Just so I’m on the same page as you, it was the update that was causing the issue?

Regards,

You are most welcome.
