Issues after updating to Wordpress 5.0

Hi Themeco Team,

After configuring, updating, upgrading, debugging, deleting, recreating the problem is back. After creating a translated page with pro, it is impossible to go back to the pro editor on the translated pages.

Please help me with that again, I cant understand what causing the problem again and again.

Thanks!
Mona

Hey Mona,

Upon checking, translation works. I’ve opened the French version of your About Us page and I translated the words “Who is” then saved the page. Please try clearing the browser’s cache and also try in other browsers. Also see the details in the secure note.

Thanks.

Hi Christian.

On the live site try to edit and translate the home page please.

Thanks!
Mona

I installed a server status plugin in your live site and discovered that your Memory Limit is low.

Please contact your web host to set your memory limit to 512M like what Rad did in your staging site. If increasing the memory in your live site does not help, please give us FTP access to your live site also so we could check what else is causing the issue. But, please compare the setup in your staging site with your live site first because it already works in staging.

Thanks.

Hi Christian,

We are moving to different hosting, hopefully tomorrow ill test the site.

Thanks!

Sure. Let us know how it goes.

Hi Guys,

So we moved the site to another hosting, where all our other clients sites are.
And unfortunately we continue to experience the same problems.

  1. When creating an independent translation, editing with pro and saving. it is impossible to go back to pro editor.
  2. The cards element in three columns, on translated pages presented 100% (like in mobile).

Important note: the problem only happens on the following 2 pages:

  • home page
  • leach mining solutions

We tried everything, plugins conflict, deleting and recreating pages and sections, increasing memory etc.
Please help me to solve this problem ASAP.

You can find the new link and credentials in the secured note.

Waiting for a quick and efficient reply.

Thanks!
Mona

Hey Mona,

Thanks for testing moving to a different host or server. Your Memory Limit that I’ve pointed you previously is still 40M. Remember Rad has increased the memory in your staging site to 512M. Please contact your web host to increase the memory limit or you can do it yourself by adding this line:

define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M');

in your wp-config.php file.

Please also give us FTP access to your new host.

Thanks.

Thanks Christian I changed again the memory limit to 512, thats not the problem.
You can find the ftp credentials in the secured note

Hi Themeco Team, So i reached my hosting company and they limit the memory to 256m, nothing works guys, somethings wrong with the template and wpml integration.

Please investigate the issue thoroughly, the solution (or no solution) of that issue will affect our usage of the theme in the future.

Thanks!
Mona

Hi Mona,

I investigated this but it’s out of my power to change your new hosting’s memory limit. It remains in 40mb and you can verify that by going to Admin > Settings > Server Info. I couldn’t do the same testing I did on your staging as it’s not taking effect.

Have you moved your site to another hosting where your staging is? Because the FTP host is the same as you provided in your previous reply (the same in the staging).

I recommend contacting your hosting provider and let them increase the memory limit. Even revolution slider requires 256mb, and 40mb is really low which just suitable for a minimal site with a simple theme like TwentyNineteen and similar.

Thanks!

Hi Rad,

Thanks to your advice on other support tickets the issue (for now) solved.
The “advanced custom field for wpml” plugin was the problem. I guess I missed that when debugging the plugin conflicts.

Thanks!
Mona

Glad it’s okay now, cheers!
