Issue with Sumo plugin - need help?

On my site https://www.ontradeandtravel.com, I am getting the following error, which shows up in the footer:

“More than one instance of Sumo is attempting to start on this page. Please check that you are only loading Sumo once per page.”

Do you know how I can resolve and make this message go away?

It seems like something within your WP theme’s settings might be duplicating A LOT of code on my site, including the Sumo Wordpress plugin installation.

Basically, is seems like something is duplicating code (including plugins) & causing these issues. Does anyone know how I can resolve?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Our theme does not have access to duplicate a plugin or code. At the core being our theme is simply a Wordpress theme with limited resources which Wordpress enforces for all themes.

Maybe you used a reference to the plugin script more than once somewhere in the page. First of all, I would change the theme from X to some other theme and see if the problem persists. If that is the case the problem is not related to our theme for sure.

If the problem goes away on another theme then you need to search for references to the scripts you used in the pages using Cornerstone. You can start over with a new page to test.

Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks for the insight, Chris.

Completely erasing my theme and starting from scratch seems extreme, as that would erase all the work I’ve done, correct?

Is there any way you can take a look at the code on my site, and see how it might be getting injected?

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it.

Hi There,

Please turn off all third party plugins and test it again, if that does not help please provide your login credentials in a secure note.

Thanks!
