Issue With Post Index Page

Hi,

I have two issues on the post index page:

  1. The excerpts are no longer showing.
  2. All the posts are squished to the right of the page on desktop Chrome.

The arrangement doesn’t happen on Safari, but I cannot get the excerpts to show for either browser.

This is the blog page:

Hey @PJ1,

Thanks for writing back.

This issue is likely caused by customization or a third-party plugin. Please do the following troubleshooting actions before we investigate further. This is to narrow down what is causing the issue and ultimately prove that it’s not our theme that is causing the issue.

  1. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time. If a plugin is causing the issue, please forward this case to the plugin developer.

  2. If you’re using a child theme, switch to the parent theme.

  3. If you have custom CSS and Javascript codes anywhere in your site, please temporarily remove all of them.

If a custom code is causing the issue, please consult with a third-party developer to fix the custom code.

Those troubleshooting actions are what’s currently applicable to your issue. More troubleshooting actions are available in our Common Issues article. It would be best to perform those actions before reaching out for support.

Thanks.

When I try to deactivate the cornerstone plugin, the page won’t load at all. I deactivated all the others plug ins one by one and the alignment never fixed. The excerpts did come by after Share Buttons by Addthis was deactivated.

Removing the CSS did not fix it either.

Will I ruin anything switching to the parent theme?

Thanks.

Hello @PJ1,

I have checked your site and I can still see the issue. The items were not aligned properly and will just jump into places as you scroll the page. I noticed that you are using WP Rocket . Please always remember to clear all caches so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors. And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.
