Issue with permalinks

I have been having a strange issue now for over a year. All of the pages on my website (except for the homepage) will suddenly give a 404 (this page does not exist) error. It was happening about once a month, and to fix it, I would go into settings, under permalinks, and change the permalinks common settings, and then change them back (like a refresh) and then the site would work again as normal, until it happened again about a month later. Now it’s occurring much more frequently, like every week, sometimes more.
This is very frustrating, as it is often my users who notice it and have to message me that my website is down. I can still do the quick fix of refreshing my permalinks, but I need a better solution. My users are getting pretty annoyed.
I’ve contacted bluehost and they told me I need to contact themeco to resolve the issue.

We’re sorry you are having this issue. Although, there’s no known bug related to this. The theme also doesn’t change your permalink settings. If saving permalinks work, we need to find why your htaccess is failing that is causing 404. Your hosting provider bluehost can help you better. Would you mind asking them some details and why they are pointing to theme about this issue? They cannot say it is the theme. We need supporting information about it. We are willing to help anyway we can but we cannot just assume it is the theme. Thank you.

Could it be related to cornerstone? Is that different from the theme?

It’s possible, but not likely, the thing is X and Cornerstone has no ability to update/reindex the site permalinks. Would you mind CLEARING and deactivating all your caching features for awhile including internal/server-side caching (if any) and see if the issue goes away?
