Issue with menu or containers depending on update

I’m moving this site–if I move as is, this is what happens to the menu

It should look like this: https://prnt.sc/1103c5q

If I update the theme after the move, the menu is fixed, but the containers go away & end up being forced to full width. Not sure how to handle it. My dev is also stumped. Any help is appreciated.
