Issue with linking Word documents

Hi there
I have a number of Word documents that need to be linked as templates

I am saving each time I add a URL in Cornerstone - when I go to the live site I am not being directed to the form I linked to - there is also a weird URL coming up showing “templates_trashed” in it (screenshot attached)

Any help appreciated

It should be https://new22.bowlsnewzealand.co.nz/administration-templates

Hello Julie,

You have linked the button to a Word Document.

Be advised that a linked Word Document is not compatible with other browsers. For example;

Linked Word Doc

If you use MS Edge, the Word Document will display. If you use Chrome or Brave browser, nothing will happen.

Please understand that this is beyond the scope of the theme. We cannot control how browsers open a file that is linked to. We highly recommend that you use .pdf instead because most browsers will support it.

Thanks for your help - what editable format could I use if not Word - most of our clubs/centres will not be able to edit a .pdf document??

Hi Julie,

If you still want to use the Word Documentation, you can just compress the documentation into a .zip file and then this is the file that you can link to.
