Isoptope Filter In Blog Page

Hi,

I want to add isotope filter option in my Blog page. How can I add this?
I didn’t find any settings for this. If I do inspect on post page I can see there are isotope classes on each post and post container. So I can I display All, Category 1, Category 2 filter at top of blog page.

Thank you in advance!

Hello @fafali,

Thanks for asking.

You can turn on filters from X > Launch > Options > Ethos > Blog Options > Filterable Index.

Thanks.

Hello Prasant,

This is really useful. Thank you so much
By setting above option, now I can display blog page with isotope filter but it is in one by one post format. Each row has single post only. But I want to display 3 post in single row and with tags too.

Could you please help me?

Thank You!

Hello @fafali,

You are most welcome.

Can you please elaborate the second question as I am unable to interpret the same?

Thanks.

So currently in my blog page I display posts in three column. Blog page is set to full width.
For each post I display image, title, short content, read more link, tags.

By following your option for isotope filter, my blog page display one post in full width and single column.

Hi There,

Your site is now using Integrity stack when I check. Though as stated on Filterable index option, it will bypass standard output of your blog page. That is the default design with just 1 column when filterable index is on. Changing that though is possible with customization that is outside the scope of our support. Thank you for understanding.

Thank you Lely for your response!

If I set filterable index option, I can see list of categories on top with one dropdown. So what happen now is when I click on that dropdown then only I can see that list of categories. But I do not want that dropdown and want to display list of categories directly.

is it possible without customization?

Thank You!

Hi there,

It’s not currently possible without customization, it’s intentionally made that way and it groups the item per filter (category). You may able to enforce the visibility of the items and filter through CSS, (like hiding the filter and display all the items all at once). But the order may not look good since it’s initially grouped by category.

Thanks!

Hello,

No I think there is some misunderstanding. I want filter.
Using filterable index option, the structure of filter is like one dropdown at top and once I click on it, list of category below that dropdown. So I want that list of category directly because it will reduce one step and user can directly click on category instead of clicking first on dropdown and then category.

Thank You!

Hi There,

I don´t think so what you are looking for is available with X out of the box. It might be possible with custom development. In any case please provide a similar example so we can be sure.

You could also build your Blog Page using The Grid plugin which comes bundled with X.

See an example of what can be done: https://theme-one.com/the-grid/kampala/

Hope it helps
