Our site randomly broke a few days ago (can’t remove featured images, or upload new images to media). There are no console errors or any other error messages for that matter. Deactivating all plugins didn’t do the trick either and was hoping to find some potential avenues that I could explore.
We did find a solution by regressing to PHP 5.6.40, but this isn’t a preferred solution and would love to hear if your team has experienced any other similar issues as of lately.

Thanks for writing in! Your image issue may not be as connected to your PHP version. Just make sure that your server has been set to the recommended requirements and settings by WordPress. You can check it here:
