I am not sure what do you mean by AJAX loaded theme? if you are asking the content load when brows any page without refreshing the page, I am sorry this is not there by default.
You need custom code for that or any plugin would help.

Regarding compatibility, yes you can make it ajaxify through custom code, we are not sure about any third party plugin which would work for you. You can try it yourself.
