Is there any way to link to classic tab element and have it open?

Is there any way to have a menu link link to the classic tab element and have it open the tab element? I looked for other posts about it but only found some info about using the accordion element.

I tried adding the anchor ID to the tabs but it didnt’ work.

Thanks for reaching out.

That would require customization that already exist on V2 Tab element, I recommend using the new tabl element for that purpose. Example, you can add a hash to your tab item

Then you can link use the link http://example.com/#first_tab to link it from outside that page.
