Is there any way to add a custom font weight? or increase bold weight?

I think that 600 font weight is a little too much and 400 too little. I tried to resolve that by adding more weight to the bold and I couldn’t find that function.

is there any way to add a custom 500 font weight?

Adding a custom font weight is complicated especially if you are using Google fonts. You see, some fonts only have have a few font weights and other fonts does not even have 500 as the font weight.

Roboto:

Open Sans:

If you are using the font manager, please choose the fonts that has a 500 font weight so that it will fit with your preference.
