Is it possible to Import Portfolio Content & Show specific portfolio categories on some pages?

I am busy with a hospital website and are looking at using the portfolio function to showcase doctors.

I have a few questions:

  1. For filtering the portfolio, Is it possible to have these options (filter by category) open by default and how would I achieve it?

  2. Is it possible to show only some categories on other pages in order to group doctors on a speciality page or below a condition, ie, this condition is treated by these doctors and showcase portfolio items based on the category.

  3. Final question: Is it possible to import these portfolio posts in bulk by means of some sheet as we have a lot of doctors and are looking to launch the website in the fastest time.

Using the latest version of X. Your help, input opinion will be appreciated. I have not seen any similar demo featuring teams and certainly could be a cool feature.

Hey Ronald,

  1. Our themes’ Portfolio does have a category filter, however, it does not have an option to show a category as default.
  2. It’s also not possible to show some categories.
  3. It’s generally to import contents in WordPress. You need to look at the Portfolio fields though and see if they fit your needs.

With that said, alternatively, you can try using the bundled grid plugins. Both have the features you need. Please visit the links below for more details and plugin usage instructions.

If the Portfolio post type couldn’t satisfy your requirements, you might want to create your own Custom Post Type. Please just note that this is beyond the scope of our theme support so we can’t provide help for this.
