Irritating jump

Hi,

On this website I’m building - http://www.wpdept.nl/home-1-jeps/ - the menu bar makes a slight jump when clicking on the sub-menu ‘Diagnostisch onderzoek’ from one of the other pages (see attached image). Mind you, when on that page ‘Behandelaanbod’ navigating through the sub-menu runs smoothly; just when arriving there from another page do you get that slight jump/flashy thingy. Maybe it has to do with the fact I have linked to elements?

Also, when on Safari (MacOS Monterey) the jump occurs with every link in the menu, not just the first dropdown menu-item.

Hi @yingfuli,

Thanks for reaching out.
If you have linked a specific section of a page from another page, it loads that page first and then goes to that specific section and that is why it looks like it jumping. Unfortunately, there is no possible solution to it, right now.

Thanks

Hi,

See attached link-to-video for how the nav bar is ‘jumping’ in Safari when going from page to page (this is separate from the dropdown). It’s only in Safari (MacOS Monterey 12.4), not on Firefox or Chrome.

Hey @yingfuli,

I checked your site in Safari MacOS Monterey 15 (you’re using 12) and the issue doesn’t happen so I believe you’re experiencing a specific browser version.

Our browser support is the same as WordPress’ and WordPress supports the last 2 browser versions. With that said, Safari 12 is no longer supported. You also need to update your browser version for security reasons.

If the issue persists after you update the browser, regretfully, there is nothing we could do with the “jumping” issue as it is device specific.

Thank you for understanding.

Monterey is on 12.4 so you can’t really be on 15. Safari is on 15.5 which is what I have.

Hey @yingfuli,

Safari is what I’m referring to as version 15. Sorry if that looked confusing.

I’ll post this case in our issue tracker so it will be queued. to be investated by our development team. Regretfully, we currently don’t have a workaround.

Please keep your video up as it will help our development team.

Thanks.
