For a number of our websites, when using Internet Explorer:
- The menu dropdown box only opens for one of the links - the two on the right does not open.
- For the one that does open, the sub-menu opens to the above right, instead of directly below it. There are no issues with Chrome or Edge.
This makes it impossible for site visitors to access these pages when they use Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this accounts for 15% of our readers - and one of our directors. So it is a major issue for us.
I have tried:
- turning off all plugins
- using every CSS code suggestion within this forum.
- removing CSS completely from the theme’s global options
- clearing cache after every change
- comparing and changing all settings with the website that still works in Internet Explorer
- replacing the whole menu by importing the menu from the website that works
- Centring the menu so that there is plenty of space between the menu and the right-hard edge
- changing the menu links in the menu customiser
One interesting note: when reviewing the site code via Chrome’s inspector, the menu items that are not working use data-x-stem=“dl” instead of data-x-stem=“dr”. Not sure if that is an issue?
The websites that are not working correctly: www.foresttech.events, www.woodtech.events, www.harvesttech.events
The websites that are working: www.mobiletech.events, www.foresttectx.events
If you need access to any of the sites I can provide it.
