Internet Explorer Header video not playing

Hello!

It seems the video on this site will not play in the Internet Explorer browser. I did make sure it is a mp4 and not webm. Any ideas?

The possible difference is IE version. I have tested it on IE version 11.885.17134.0.
Can you share your actual IE version where you experience this issue? Thank you.

Are you on Windows 7? Yes, certain Windows 7 service pack can’t update the IE. I tested both and yes it works on 11.885 and not on 11.0.9600. But the video works when I tested it on my local dev site, so this must be something on your site that is causing the issue. First please optimize your video 20mb seems too much for a background video, you can use this tool here.

If the optimization did not work, please do testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
