Internet Explorer bugs

Hi Themeco support, I have a whole host of issues for my site on Internet Explorer, that I’m just now realizing. I know most people don’t use this browser, but some do so I would like to get these bugs fixed if anybody can tell me how. They are only manifesting on IE (I’m using version: 11.973.17763.0), and no other browsers as far as I can see.

On the home page https://www.thegods.org:

  1. All my custom fonts are not manifesting properly.
  2. The social icons at the bottom are invisible.
  3. The scroll up button in bottom right corner is also invisible.
  4. My installed smooth scroll plugin is choppy only in IE.

And then on a number of my other pages: here, here, and here: The content is off center. I centered all sections, rows, and columns properly in Cornerstone, and have also used custom css / vertically-center tags and stuff like that… but it only looks this way in IE.

Finally, on this page, none of my icons at the top are visible in IE.

Thanks for the help.

Hey Jacob,

I only can replicate 2 of the issues you mentioned and those are the choppy scrolling and the off-centered content. Please clear IE’s cache. Also, try in another computer connectected to a different network.

####1. Regarding the choppy scrolling
It’s because there’s a lot of elements on your page and IE couldn’t handle that. Even in Chrome, it’s a bit choppy on my end. Maybe reduce the contents on your page, reduce the animations and make sure images are optimized. The Smooth Scroll script could add to the choppiness even given the state of your page.

####2. The off-centered content is because of your custom CSS. It’s not a bug in our theme.

Remove justify-content declaration from your .vertically-center class. If you want to learn why, read this. Please just note that we can’t answer custom code concerns so if you find more issues about your custom codes, please consult with a third-party developer.

####Below are my screen grabs from IE. As you’ll see, icons and fonts are loaded.

Hope that helps.

Ok, good to know. May I ask what version of IE you are using?

Hi Jacob,

I get the same result as Christian, I’m on IE11 version 11.0.9600.17843

Thanks,
