Internal link to section ID not functioning

Hi guys me again!
I do apologize but I am trying to link a botton to a section of a page and I am doing it as I have done it before… here below the screen shots… but it doesn’t work. If I click on the link it goes to the page but not to the section I want.

any clue?
thanks a lot
cheers

I forgot the link
thanks

Hi,

Glad to know you were able to figure it out.

Have a nice day!

no I didn’t figure it out. what made you think that?

Hi There,

Sorry for the confusion.

If the button and the section are in the same page, please try linking the button to #MAP not the full link.

Also make sure that you have no repeated any IDs on the same page as each ID should be used one time only.

If this still does not help, please provide your URL so we can take a closer look.

Thanks

hello! no they are not in the same page.
the links are
https://www.boundlessroads.com/destinations/ ( landing page)
www.boundlessroads.com ( scroll down where you read follow me on the map)

thanks a lot

Hi There,

You have added the name of the ID as #MAP

It should be just MAP

# represents ID and it is a markup that is automatically set

So your ID : MAP will be linked to #MAP

Not #MAP to #MAP

Hope that makes sense

Cheers

Hello there
thansk a lot . I have tried both ways but no one is working… :frowning:

Hello There,

This ID found in the page is incorrect.

Please remove it and replace it with just MAP so that your link will be valid like this https://www.boundlessroads.com/destinations/#MAP.

If you have tried it already please do it again since this is the correct way of adding an ID to an element. We can then test it afterwards once the correct ID is in place.

And by the way, I noticed that you are using CloudFlare. Please login to your cloudflare account and purge your site cache. It is also good that you clear your site cache in Site Ground.

Please let us know how it goes.

Holy crap! you are right! I was sure I did it properly the first time and didn’t work ! my apologies and thanks a lot  :kissing_heart:

No problem!
It’s good to know that this issue has ben resolved.
