Installed Theme X, but cannot click on Cornerstone

Hi,
I have installed X theme as well as Child theme, but cannot seem to click on the Cornerstone tab option under X. I also cannot see Cornerstone in the plugins available.

I have a new WP website, with a simple coming soon page. lisemarieirving.com
I am VERY new to building website.

Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! Cornerstone should be installed automatically when you install and activate X theme. If it is not installed and not present in the plugins section, please go to X > Validation and see it will be installed automatically. If you do not see any messages that it is installed, then most probably you have some permission issues which is why the installation of Cornerstone did not took place. Simply download the latest version of Cornerstone and install it manually in your plugins section.

Thank you for the information and help! I have re-installed Cornerstone, and see it activated in the Plugins section. However, when I go to X > Cornerstone, the page “FILE NOT FOUND (Error 404)” appears.
Similarly, I do not see it installed when I go to X > Validation under the headings Extensions or Plugins. Any suggestions?

I should add that this is the case when I try to access X > Templates, Global Blocks or Theme Options as well. All go to page FILE NOT FOUND Error 404

Thanks for writing in again!

Reset your htaccess file by renaming it to .htaccess-bak. Then in WP Admin Menu, go to Settings > Permalinks and just click the Save Changes button.
